Is the censorship a little hit and miss?
How come when i type a non swear word in context and meaning no offence (and typed in a way to be clear that no offence is meant) it is starred out but on several postings i have seen fairly offensive swear words in comlete form? And, while on a rant, how on earth have Yahoo allowed a questions regarding “tips for paedophilia” to be posted? I did report this as abuse as I am sure loads of people who saw it did, but what is up with this double standards?
Absolutely. I have acutally seen full swear words on this site, not just those using symbols. I really think that yahoo need to employ a few people to monitor the site and questions instead of relying on a computer program that can be overcome. Chat rooms used to always have a few people to check what was happening so why not here?
I know what you mean about the awful questions on here sometimes. I myself have reported a few people for inappropriate, and wholly illegal, questions and responses. Including people asking where that can find “kiddie” sites and the like. I think these people, when reported to yahoo, should then be reported to the police and have their computers removed and a banning order on them purchasing abother one or having the internet.
