Yes there is. They have the free time and money to participate in such extraneous institutions. Art has gotten so expensive to keep, maintain and protect that not even the wealthy can afford it anymore. They buy it to give like a Christmas card to museums for tax purposes. I, for one, am glad they do. I get to see what would otherwise be behind closed doors.
