how do I bleed the fuel line on my 2000 oldsmobile silhouette?
I ran out of gas and after I put gas in it I still can’t get it to start. I was told I need to bleed the fuel line. Is this something I can do myself? Is there a step by step online somewhere?
Steven J (or anyone) I tried starting it so much that now it won’t even make a niose when i turn the key. What now?
You do not need to bleed gasolene engines. The problem is with diesel engines that you have to prime the fuel pump so it is nut run dry.
With fuel injection the gas pump will push fuel in the line pushing the air out of the line. Most gas fuel pumps are in the gas tank. As soon as you put a gallon or so it is already primed sitting in the gas.
